Ber is one of the ancient indigenous fruits. Ber tree is hardy and cultivated all over India. In our country, Ber is known as poor man's fruit. Cool, especially coconut cool is used as fresh fruit. Ripe ber can be eaten with sour (ambal) or chutney. Apart from this, ber is widely used in making jelly, jam, ber achar, kulgur.

Medicinal value of Ber
(1) Ber works well in curing some diseases. Namely: Digestive disorder, Anxiety, Insomia, Fever, Lung disease etc. Good for asthma, fever and lung problems.
(2) Paste of roots and branches applied on boils, carbuncles, pus comes out from it. Leaf extract is used as a lotion to clean wounds.
(3) The juice of the leaves occasionally relieves cold and influenza infections. For this, a teaspoon of leaf juice and a pinch of pepper powder should be applied once a day.
(4) Cool leaf juice works well to cure eye disease (Conjunctivitis). Leaf extract can be used as an eye lotion.
(5) The bark of the Ber tree works well in treating flatulence, dysentery and abdominal colic. The inner part of the bark works well as a purgative in constipation.
(6) Fresh and fresh leaves mixed with salt cures diseases such as Gargle and mouth sores and loose algal and bleeding gums.
(7) Applying the leaves on the head keeps the hair clean and cures scalp diseases.
(8) Application of leaves baked in fire relieves hemorrhoids. Grind the roasted leaves and mix with castor oil and apply on the rash. Apply this method twice a day for a week.
